Born in Lagos on July 1, 1944, Dr. Bode Olajumoke hails from a distinguished Yoruba family from Imeri in Ondo State. His academic journey shaped a career dedicated to law, policy, and human development.
Dr. Olajumoke's career spanning over five decades reflects his commitment to public service, legal excellence, and national development. His trajectory from journalism to law to governance demonstrates a multifaceted dedication to national progress.

Beyond government service, Dr. Olajumoke has been instrumental in shaping Nigeria's maritime sector and championing healthcare for the vulnerable. In 2003, as Chairman of RORO Oceanic, he criticized Nigeria's maritime policies and tariffs, advocating for the privatization of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) to improve efficiency.
He serves as Chairman of MITOSATH (Mission to Save the Helpless), a non-governmental charity organization dedicated to improving the health of the less privileged across Nigeria. This role embodies his philosophy of lifting others through service.
A member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees since 1999, Dr. Olajumoke has been a influential voice in Nigerian politics:
Elected as Senator representing Ondo North Senatorial District. Served on committees for Navy, National Planning, Foreign Affairs, Employment & Labour, Downstream Petroleum, and Defence & Army.
Re-elected for a further four-year term, continuing his legislative impact.
Accompanied Senator Ike Ekweremadu in August 2008 to observe the U.S. Democratic National Convention, representing Nigeria's Senate.
