At the heart of BOEHI’s mission is the belief that education is the most powerful equalizer in society. Our Education Support Program is a multi-tiered intervention designed to bridge the gap between ambition and access for underserved children and youth in Nigeria.
We provide:

• Full and partial scholarships for primary, secondary, and tertiary education
• School essentials including uniforms, books, writing materials, shoes, and bags
• Mentorship and psychosocial support, pairing students with trained adult role models who guide them through life’s academic and emotional challenges

Through targeted outreach in rural and low-income urban communities, we identify vulnerable children who are most at risk of dropping out due to poverty, conflict, or marginalization—especially girls and orphans.
This program not only sends children to school, but keeps them there by addressing barriers holistically. Our graduates are emerging as teachers, entrepreneurs, engineers, and future policy leaders—proof that given the chance, talent will always rise.

BOEHI’s Hospitality Skills Training initiative is designed to equip youth and women with hands-on, employable skills that immediately translate into income, dignity, and self-reliance.
We operate through training hubs and partner institutions offering professional certification in:

• Catering and Culinary Arts
• Housekeeping and Room Service
• Hotel Management and Front Desk Operations
• Event Planning and Protocol Services

Our program goes beyond classroom learning. Trainees engage in:

• Live practice sessions in real hospitality settings
• Soft skills development (customer service, time management, communication)
• Linkages to internships, job placements, and microenterprise startup kits

By focusing on industries that are labour-intensive and locally sustainable, we reduce unemployment, especially among young women and school leavers. Graduates emerge with globally transferable skills and the confidence to thrive in hospitality careers or run their own service-based businesses.

This flagship initiative aims to liberate potential trapped by poverty, gender inequality, and lack of opportunity. BOEHI’s Youth and Women Empowerment Program is not charity—it is investment in resilience, ingenuity, and the ripple effect of empowered leadership.
What we offer:

• Microgrants to kick-start income-generating ventures (tailoring, beauty, farming, mobile food services, etc.)
• Entrepreneurship bootcamps focused on business planning, market access, and financial literacy
• Leadership and civic engagement training to help women and youth serve as change agents in their communities

This program especially targets:

• Young mothers rebuilding after loss or hardship
• Unemployed youth who are creative but under-resourced
• Women with no formal education but with informal business ideas

We prioritize rural outreach, conflict-affected regions, and female-headed households, amplifying the voices of those society often overlooks.

The BOEHI Scholars Network is a powerful ecosystem of change—comprising alumni of our education and skills training programs who are now giving back, mentoring others, and influencing development discourse.

• Peer mentoring of new BOEHI recipients
